I think Lee does, too. But I would rather it were Romero....if we can keep Lee, as well. I do find it unlikely that Sardinas and O'Malley both come north, in that Sardinas isn't going to be the platoon partner for Lind. Sardinas hits .621 vL over his short career. He's hit .603 and .662, which includes his MiLB PA's, vL over the last two complete years. Lind, on the other hand, OPS's .586 vL over his career. He's not seeing many lefties, you can bet on that. Lee basically had a 1/1 eye in #Korea, but it's been 2/3 during his 4 JPL years.

Gatling was picked to play in South #Korea to play for Shinhan Bank S-#Bird.

On Son ... my first Q would be, was there something back channel. Like, his agent has communicated that if he doesn't get X dollars or Y playing time, Son will stay in #Korea. *Possible* that he isn't worth the #Money you give to a lower-tier 16-year-old #South_America signing, but I doubt it. Would be interested to hear from KBO fans about it.

Oh is a true FA and doesn't need to be posted. Flight time from #Korea to #Seattle is considerably shorter than to any other US city, so he might be more reasonable than it might seem.

Byung-ho Kang's succdess in #Pittsburgh (.816 OPS vs. .886 in #Korea) for a basically bargain basement price (4 yrs/$11M with a 5th yr option for $5.5M, not including the posting fee) suggests that for a .951 OPS/.564 slugger like Park you might be looking at more than double the price. 5ys/$40M is the suggested price, and if one of those is a team option, I think that is about right. Add the posting fee and you would have $40M over 4 years and $52M over 5, or thereabouts. DiPoto said we weren't going big on FA's and $10M a year buys you a nice one.
