#Philadelphia Flyers center Ryan White was ejected from the game against the #Detroit Red Wings after he used his right shoulder to hit Tomas Jurco in the head in an illegal check. This is not the first time that White has made an illegal hit and I am expecting that the Safety Commission will be calling him to task yet again.

The Grand Rapid Griffins are the AHL affiliate of the #Detroit Red Wings

The #Detroit Red Wings have placed defenseman Jakub Kindl on waivers. This is in response to the impending return of Kyle Quincey. It is very much the same situation that Scott Gomez faced in St. Louis when Patrik Berglund returned.

Reply - InsideTheBoards - 1/9/16 1:20pm

The Red Wings really only used Jakub Kindl as a fill-in and never gave him a real chance to prove what he could do.

So long guys. Apparently, DiPoto has traded SaberMatt and I and cash considerations to #Detroit for a legendary peanut vendor named Pops. DiPoto said: "I called Matt on the phone and told him not to take this the wrong way. We were just moving in a different direction. Pops will shore up left field concessions and provide a delightful experience for our fans. He can toss a bag of peanuts 15 yards with perfect accuracy" I got the memo from Matt. Apparently, our archaic views on slugging percentage weren't working out. Go Tigers!

Ian White, a former NHL defenseman (last team played for was the #Detroit Red Wings) as been arrested on multiple weapons charges. He was a powerful enforcer when he followed the rules and listened to his coaching staff. He last played in the NHL in 2013.

Reply - JulienSwift - 11/24/15 1:14pm

White has been in trouble before with the law. It is sad to see him in trouble again. Hopefully this is the wakeup call that he needs to figure things out.

Even though the #Toronto Maple Leafs have fallen apart in more recent years, they do have the most loyal fans within the NHL. Therefore, the fact that they are the number 1 most valuable team in the NHL is not a shock. They are valued at $1.3 billion. No wonder they were able to lure head coach Mike Babcock away from the #Detroit Red Wings!

Reply - JulienSwift - 11/18/15 12:39pm

Toronto has probably the highest ticket prices in the entire NHL, but the fans keep coming out and supporting them.
