The search for Christian Grey begins again.

'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam is out.

Once again, fan frenzy is reaching a fevered pitch with word that Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam has pulled out of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation. I had honestly hoped we were past the Fifty Shades craziness for a while, when word got out about the two main leads being cast. But no, Hunnam had to go and drop out, right before filming was set to begin (next month).

Supposedly, Charlie Hunnam backed out of the Fifty Shades movie because of scheduling issues. I'm sure lots of people have other theories, but this seems plausible enough. I had to stifle a giggle, though, when I read the official statement from the Universal Pictures:

The filmmakers of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.

Wait, wait, he has to prepare to play Christian Grey? What kind of prep does he need, exactly? If you've read the Fifty Shades books, you know exactly what I mean. Come on! The perfect Christian Grey portrayal would involve looking hot naked and being able to bite one's lip seductively (over and over and over). It's not like we're talking about a highbrow, complicated script or anything. If we are, by the way, this movie is going to suck even more than I already think it will. This is all about sex, let's just keep it that way.

Anyway back to the issue at hand: Now that Charlie Hunnam is out, who will step in? Not surprisingly, it's a hot topic, and polls have everyone from Ian Somerhalder to Matt Bomer to Ryan Gosling as a potential Christian - again. I just don't see any of those actors taking the part, but someone I do think might work well? How about Arrow hottie Stephen Arnell? I mean come on, the guy is gorgeous, he's got the best abs I've ever seen on anyone (even Gosling) and it seems like he can actually act.

But hey no one's asking me, so pffft. Who do you think will get the part next?
