Game On at IndieCade East 2015
For many gamers, few things are as romantic as sitting down and playing together. If you're a gamer looking for the perfect Valentine's Day weekend with someone special, head down to the Museum of the Moving Image for IndieCade East, NYC's foremost independent video game festival.
This three-day festival features panels, workshops and dozens of new and unreleased games from the former finalists and winners of IndieCades past. This year's primary gaming showcase – Love & Rejection- will include over thirty games with complex emotional and passionate themes, as well as games that were rejected by app stores or denied public release for one reason or another. The Fullbright Company's Gone Home and Naomi Clark's Consentacle are just a couple of the titles you'll find in this edgy, utterly moving exhibit.
A full pass for all three days of the festival is only $125 for the general public and $100 for students, seniors and members of the museum. In addition to the aforementioned exhibitions and workshops, attendants are also invited to MotMI's annual Night Games party (which effectively turns the museum into a giant arcade on Saturday night).
So get your game face on, grab the one you love, and head out to what is sure to be one of the most memorable V-Day event in the city.
