If you travel a couple of hours east from Los Angeles, out into the desert, you will eventually come upon the Joshua Tree Inn.  This quaint little inn is a perfect place for couples to spend some time away from the city, amidst the brilliance of the desert scenery.  They have a swimming pool there, so you can beat the heat if it gets to be too much for you, as well as a koi pond and a Zen courtyard to add to the atmosphere.  And, of course, Joshua Tree National Park, for which the inn is named, is right around the corner.  If you want to experience the desert with your loved one, this is a great place to set up home base.  Has anyone ever gone on a camping trip into Joshua Tree before?
