The Best Romantic Films - Sliding Doors

Some movies stand above the rest when it comes to being the best in their genre. For the couple that enjoys watching romantic movies, there’s no need to sift through the rubbish to find the gems, for I have done the work for you. This week’s exceptional romantic film is:

Sliding Doors (1998) - What happens when your life takes two separate paths? Does one life end up being great while the other falls apart? That’s what Sliding Doors attempts to explore, particularly with regards to romance. The strange journey begins when the main character, Helen (Gwyneth Paltrow) tries to catch a train. One version of her makes the train while the other misses it. Then the dual-reality begins and we get to watch her going through her life in two different parallel universes. Some things change while others stay the same and, in the end, the movie proves that what is meant to be will happen, no matter which path in life you choose to take. It’s a fun, romantic film for those that like interesting fairy tales with happy yet realistic endings.
