Is there anything Jennifer Lawrence can't do?

Now she's producing movies, too.

I'm a huge Jennifer Lawrence fan. I became one the instant I watched her riveting, gut-wrenchingly amazing performance in Winter's Bone. I was impressed with her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. Then, I went completely bonkers for her after seeing her Oscar-winning performance as Tiffany in The Silver Linings Playbook.

Clearly, I adore this young, bright, shining star in Hollywood. I keep track of any and all movie-related news about her (she's rarely in the gossip rags anyway, so good for her). Just today, I came across a particularly intriguing bit of news concerning Jennifer Lawrence: She has plans to star in a movie based on one of the most brilliant memoirs I've ever read, Claire Bidwell Smith's The Rules of Inheritance.

If you haven't read the book, I'll just say that Claire Bidwell tells a beautiful and tragic coming-of-age story. When she was 14 years old, both of her parents were diagnosed with cancer. The road to her 20s was, as you might imagine, rocky and so, so difficult. It's a positively incredible book, and especially so since it's a debut. Anyway, hearing that JLaw has not only agreed to produce the movie adaptation, but to star in it as well? Win, win.

At this point, that's really the only major information that's out about the project, except that Academy Award-winning Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier (In a Better World) is the director of The Rules of Inheritance.

In the midst of all these summer blockbusters, I made a mental note to re-read this memoir and gear up for what will surely be a phenomenal film from one of the industry's most gifted young talents.

Jennifer Lawrence is a busy 22-year-old woman, with filming underway for X-Men: Days of Future Past and the upcoming release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She's also starring in another David O. Russell movie, American Hustle, opposite none other than Bradley Cooper. Being busy is a *good* thing in Hollywood, and it's a great thing for us, the fans. We have a lot to look forward to from Lawrence in the years ahead, don't you think?
