Sensual Movies for the Perfect Sexy Date
Looking for the perfect sexy movie for Valentine’s Day? Want to find something hot to watch without actually venturing into the pornography section? Here are some steamy movies that range from being flush-inducing to downright erotic that you might want to check out for your next necking session…or something more.
Shakespeare in Love
While I’m not a fan of Joseph Fieness or Gwyneth Paltrow (particularly the over-privileged, haughty latter who likes to dispense advice to the housewives of the world as if they’re all as rich as she is), this film is super steamy. I remember seeing it in the theater as a teenager and feeling downright embarrassed, watching couples around the room start to squirm.
City of Angels
The buildup to the ultimate coupling of the angel and the surgeon he is so enamored with he is willing to fall from heaven is what makes this film. My favorite quote of the movie occurs when Meg Ryan is operating on a man and thinks, “No dying today, Mr. Messenger. Not until you give me Seth’s phone number.” Of course, the sexy bathtub and lovemaking scenes are breathtaking, even though I’m not much of a Cage fan.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
This film stars Hollywood’s hottest couple, and it’s not hard to see why they hold this title with the scenes found in the film. Mixing murder attempts with lovemaking isn’t normally something I’d recommend, but a lot of people get turned on by this film.
There are plenty of erotic films that I haven’t yet seen; you can find many more here. You can also list your own ideas below, or by adding your own post.
Eyes Wide Shut
When I first saw this movie, I was much too young to understand it; I am still not sure if I get it all, but hey, it’s Kubrick. You can’t deny that all of those nude scenes, particularly with masks and mystery involved, get your heart racing, even if it also sort of scares you.
The English Patient
This is my all-time favorite romantic movie; the vivid love scenes featuring Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas almost make you feel as if you are intruding. It is a tragedy, however; you may want to start making out in the middle rather than waiting until the end.
Chocolat
This movie is so sensual in many different ways; it’s probably the most subtle movie on the list, but it’s also one of my all-time favorites. Plus, it has Johnny Depp! (Can you think of another Depp movie that’s sexy, aside from him simply being in it?)
The Illusionist
I saw this film after I started falling for Edward Norton, and though I was never a Jessica Biel fan, their sweet, unending romance really draws you in. There is a bit of a steamy scene, but it’s more romantic than erotic—which fits the tone of the movie perfectly. The rest of it is very romantic and moving as well.
Meet Joe Black
This one is incredibly sensual—as well as incredibly surprising. I did not think I would like it this much, but the love scenes, coupled with Pitt’s discovery of the world itself in the same slow, astounded way a child discovers it, makes it very appealing.
