Sims 3 werewolves

Aroooo!

It's been a full month since I got the Supernatural expansion pack, and I still have not talked about werewolves either. For shame! Really though, it's just a great example of why this is the best expansion pack so far. Most of the expansion packs, I was already getting sick of talking about them after a month. But there is still a lot I haven't explored in Supernatural yet.

There are four ways your Sim can become a werewolf: they can be born that way (werewolves mating with non-werewolves have a 50 percent chance of throwing a werewolf baby), you can drink the Bottled Curse of the Lycan (which you can make with the Alchemy skill, or buy at the consignment store), you can receive the curse by requesting a bite from another werewolf (you must have a high relationship with them for this request to be granted), or you can build a werewolf in Create-A-Sim.

(It's so much easier than becoming a werewolf in The Sims 2! I never did have the patience to get my relationship high enough with the pack leader to get a werewolf in that game.)

Werewolves gain Athletic skill faster than other Sims, live about twice as long, howl at the moon, and have a special ability to hunt for collectibles. The more you hone this ability, the better you get at it. (However, not having played a werewolf yet, I'm not sure whether or not this ability overlaps with the Collection Helper.)

Werewolves have many animalistic interactions with other Sims and animals. They will play fetch, sniff inappropriately, eat raw meat, scratch furniture, and enjoy a good belly rub. Other Sims may complain about their shedding, or whack them on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper.

You can also form a wolf pack with other werewolves in your town. Once you have a good relationship with another werewolf, you can ask them to join your pack. After recruiting enough werewolves for your pack, you become "alpha wolf."

Although most of the time they go about as normal Sims, werewolves transform into their wolf form during the full moon. They can also transform at any time by will, but during the full moon you cannot change back into human form until the sun rises the next morning. Werewolves may also transform if they get angry enough, or their mood drops low enough.

To de-werewolf yourself, simply obtain the Potent Cure Elixir, either with the Alchemy skill or by purchasing it from the consignment shop. A romantic interest can also ask a werewolf to Forsake Their Powers, which will let you choose to become a normal Sim.
