Experience Hawaiian Culture with a November Festival

November is a great month for festivals in Honolulu. Several wonderful things are going on that celebrate the culture and history of the islands. If you’re looking for somewhere to take that special someone, try one of these events.

Makahiki Maoli Festival - KapiolaniPark - Nov 22nd

This festival is, much like New Year’s Eve, the celebration of the end of the Hawaiian year. Learn more about the traditional culture of the people that once inhabited the island alone. Fun activities, games, exhibits and educational experiences combine to create an interesting day in Honolulu.

Waikiki Holiday Parade - Kalakaua Ave - Nov 28th

Stop off along Kalakaua Avenue and check out this interesting parade. It’s a commemorative event to honor those that were present during the attack on Pearl Harbor and features a train of people, including marching bands, military folks and important politicians. Come out and show your respect for those that died and those few that still survive to this day.
