Sims 3 Generations Gnomes Get Busy!

I had no idea that the gnomes did anything different in the Generations expansion pack, until someone left a comment a little while ago asking how to get the gnomes married. And I was all like, "Gnomes don't get married! What are you talking about, crazy internet person!"
But I looked into it, and wow! Gnomes in the Generations expansion pack do all that and more!
1. More Mobile
Many players report that their gnomes are a lot more frisky after installing the Generations expansion pack. People have reported that their gnomes (all different sorts) have been found gathered together at night, and that they clustered around a Sim who was telling a ghost story.
Gnomes seem to be interacting with each other and with their environment a lot more now. This is nice to hear because previously, the gnomes would basically change position once every few days. (And eventually they would become invisible and block some vital piece of equipment forever and always until you either wall them off or delete them with the "moveobjects on" cheat. Was my experience, anyway.)
I have seen a rumor in several different places that vampire gnomes will turn teddy bears into other vampires. Hilarious if true! No one has been able to confirm this yet. If you have seen it happen, let me know!
2. Gnomes Marry!
Apparently the trick is to put two gnomes together at a wedding, and then they will marry. Haven't tried it; don't know what happens. Desperate to see, though!
3. Gnome Families
Gnomes now spawn child gnomes which go through life stages, just like your Sims! From Toddler to Child, Teen, and Elder. According to one report, "Each of the different gnome age ranges has new poses and appearances, and they each prefer to appear near different objects that are suitable to them."
4. Gnome Death
Eventually, your gnomes will die of old age, and tiny gnome headstones will appear on your lot. No word on whether ghost gnomes eventually appear!
I might have discovered this on my own, but I have long since banished gnomes from my lots. Interesting though they may be, in the long run they only cause headaches. Turning on the television, standing in the way, blocking the entrance to the shower, that kind of thing. So annoying! But reading about all the new gnome stuff, I'm determined to add gnomes to my lot as quickly as possible!
