Visit Louisiana’s best parks

Have fun at a Louisiana park this weekend

Looking for something different to do this weekend? Check out one of Louisiana’s amazing parks. It’s a fun, affordable way to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Here are our top three picks for the best parks in Louisiana.

Bayou Segnette State Park

Just half an hour outside New Orleans, Bayou Segnette State Park offers bayou-side activities including a boat launch, group camping site, picnic area, and wave pool for swimming.

Tickfaw State Park

This park is built around the Tickfaw River, with a raised boardwalk that takes you through the pristine wilderness, canoeing through the river itself, a great nature center so that you can learn more about the area, and numerous camping opportunities.

Fontainebleau State Park

Less than an hour from New Orleans, this park was once a 2,800 sugar cane plantation which was built in the 1800s. The plantation and the remains of the sugar mill still remain, and the park also offers walking trails, a swimming pool, fishing, picnicking, and overnight campsites.
