The best parks in Minneapolis

Visit a Minneapolis park this weekend

Looking for a fun outing? Visit one of our beautiful local parks. It’s a great, affordable way to get out of the house and have some fun. Here are our picks for the top three parks in Minneapolis.

Minnehaha Park

One of the busiest parks in Minneapolis, so parking can be limited, but it deserves the acclaim. Featuring the famous waterfalls, miles of trails, and acres of serene forests, this park does not disappoint.

Loring Park

This park’s beautiful garden and central fountain are great, and its close proximity to attractions like the Walker Art Museum and the Sculpture Garden make it an excellent location as well. In addition to the usual bevy of basketball courts, shuffleboard games, and a dog park, Loring Park offers a great set of walking/running paths as well.

Lake of the Isles

This quiet set of trails around an urban lake is a great place to walk, bike, or jog while collecting your thoughts. Located in a very upscale neighborhood, Lake of the Isles is a real Minneapolis treasure.
