The best Atlanta parks

Top three parks in the Atlanta area

Interested in getting out of the house for the afternoon? Here are our top three picks for the best parks in the Atlanta area, when you need a little fresh air and sunshine.

Piedmont Park

This urban park has a little bit of everything: a beautiful pond, lots of lush greenery, soccer fields, and even a weekly farmer’s market. And it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest coffee shop!

Historic Fourth Ward Park

This park begins right behind the Ponce City Market and winds its way south to the Carter Center. The tireless work by the non-profit organization that fosters this park has turned it into a true city gem, with incredible landscaping, beautiful walks, and even a skatepark.

Centennial Olympic Park

When most people think of an Atlanta park, Centennial Olympic is probably the one that comes first to mind. Originally built for the 1996 Olympics, this park features broad vistas, lots of festivals, and proximity to attractions like CNN Center and the Georgia Aquarium.
