The next time you have a weekend free, grab your loved one and see what life outside the city has to offer. There are many wonderful romantic getaways within an easy driving distance of Minneapolis, so you’re bound to find something to do that you’ll both enjoy. One of the best getaway spots is definitely NicolletIsland. The entire town looks like it exists in another time and you can even enjoy a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride if you want. Or drive north to the beautiful city of Duluth and stay a few nights on the shores of Lake Superior. And if you’d rather just explore and see as much as possible, try driving the scenic US 61 Highway. For those that love nature, there are few drives that can compare to this one.
