When you want a day out with your special someone to be something a little more active, look around for the fun and exciting things to do in the LA area. Enjoy some horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills by signing up for a sunset ride. Or travel a little ways to the San Bernardino Mountains and try your hands at a zip-line course. Of course, you better be ready for a good hike if you want to make it to the course. And if you have a few days to spare, you can always hit up Catalina Island and enjoy a wide variety of active pastimes, from hiking to kayaking to swimming and more.
