Delaware day trips

Day trips in Delaware

A day trip is a great way to get out of the house, have some fun, and explore Delaware, without breaking the bank or having to worry about scheduling time off work. Here are our picks for the top three day trips in Delaware.

Visit Lewes

Lewes is proud to be the first town in the first state, and if you are interested in history or browsing cute shops, then Lewes is the place to go. Check out the Zwaanendael-Museum, named after the Dutch colony which was Delaware’s first European settlement in 1631.

Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge

If wildlife and the great outdoors is your thing, visit the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge, 10,000 acres of beautiful freshwater and saltwater habitat. Stroll the many walking paths, or rent a kayak and take a spin through the waterways.

Rehoboth Beach

Tired of the crowded, tourist-filled beaches at the Delaware shore? Check out Rehoboth Beach, a sleepy town off the beaten path where you can get some elbow room, and enjoy our beautiful seashore the way it was meant to be enjoyed: in peace.
