Film lovers may think that they need to go all the way to the mainland to find a good film festival, but Honolulu has more than a few that are amazing. So grab your special someone and check out what’s going on near you. Fans of the life and culture of Hawaii’s beaches should check out the Honolulu Surf Film Festival. It starts in early July and lasts for nearly a month, so you have plenty of time to see it. Fall brings the Hawaii International Film Festival, nearly two weeks of great movies from all around the world. Or head to the Honolulu Museum of Art for something a bit different with January’s Bollywood Film Festival.
