Austin is a city known for its rich musical heritage and that culture continues into the modern day. One of the best music festivals in the entire world, SXSW is one event that should not be missed. Both big names and local favorites show up during March to play this amazing week-long celebration. Austin City Limits is another well-known music event and the second largest in the city. When October comes around, make sure to check it out. And if you prefer music that’s more along the independent and hardcore lines, Fun Fun Fun Fest brings three days of some of the best alternative music that the city has to offer.
