The next time you want to get out and do something with your loved one, consider exploring some of Atlanta’s illustrious history. There are many great sites to see, no matter what your preference of historical events. For a look at some of the history of Atlanta’s former residents, visit the oldest cemetery in the city, OaklandCemetery. Those interested in the history of the Civil Rights Movement should not miss the chance to check out the Civil Rights Walk of Fame and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historic District. And you can always go to Georgia’s state capitol and see the spot where politics have thrived for more than one-hundred years.
