Exploring Las Vegas’s History

Even those that live right in the heart of Las Vegas often forget to take some time out and explore the rich history of this city. When it comes time for a day out with your special someone, consider looking around and seeing some of the most famous historic sites. The Golden Gate Casino is one such site, although it has changed much over its 100+ years in existence. Still, it was the first casino in Las Vegas and remains an historic landmark to this day. There’s also the MormonFortHistoricPark, one of the oldest sites of non-native settlement in the region. It also happens to be conveniently located near several museums. And for those that don’t mind traveling a bit further out, the Hoover Dam is a site that no Las Vegas resident should go without seeing at least once.
