Sistas the MusicalSt. Luke’s Theatre – June 6th through Sept 6th (Sat & Sun)

Follow the tale of five women as they prepare the funeral arrangements for an older relative. Hear tales of their family along with stories revolving around the history of African-American women in general, all done through some of the most popular music put together by African-American women over the last century.

Show Boat – Symphony Space – June 18th

This classic of American musicals is back on the stage, relating what it was like to live on the Mississippi River during the turn of the century. It features songs that, even if you’ve never seen the musical, you’ll likely be familiar with and it will be bringing audiences a very operatic version of them.
