Musical Theater Watch - May Week Three
One of the things that the world knows NYC for is its amazing shows. If you’re one of those that loves a good musical, you’re pretty much guaranteed that something is going on every night of the week. Here are just a few of the shows that are showing right now.
For the Last Time – Clurman Theatre – May 19th through June 20th
This off-Broadway musical drags you back to the 1950s, where a group of artists get together and try to form a perfect world of love, music and art. But the past worms its way into their present and creates problems that they may or may not be ready to deal with. For a lively night of jazz music and acting, check it out.
Dagger and HELLO – The PIT Underground – May 22nd
This unique production mixes improvisational comedy with musical storytelling to create something that audiences will see once and once only. The cast takes suggestions from their audience and then puts together a musical based on what they’re given. But it’s a one-night only event, so you’d best get some tickets soon if you plan on seeing it.
