When you’re a dog owner, one of the more important parts of getting to know someone new is to introduce them to your best friend. A firm rapport with your date’s dog can go a long way to impressing them. When you want to bring your pet on an outing but still want to make a day of it with that special someone, a dog park is a perfect compromise. Luckily, Austin isn’t known as the Dog Park Capitol of the World for nothing. BobWentzPark is one great spot, with more 200 acres to roam and lots of fun activities, though you’ll have to keep your dog on a leash there. Red Bud Isle is a little smaller, but there is no leash requirement at all there. Or head to EmmaLongMetropolitanPark, one of the city’s largest parks that offers both on-leash and off-leash areas.
