A Couple More Events for Early May

For those who find themselves bored during the early part of the month, here are two more interesting events that you might want to take a look at. And if you have a special someone, you might even turn a visit to one of these into a great date.

Dutch FestivalHofstraUniversity, Hempstead – May 9th

Celebrate Dutch heritage in NYC by taking a trip to this fun festival. There will be lie jazz music, theater performances, art exhibits, games and more to occupy your time. And if you happen to have kids you’d like to bring along, there are plenty of activities being set up specifically for them.

We Heart NYC Writers Night – Le Poisson Rouge – Every Friday

If you happen to be a writer, then this event is a celebration of your craft and your struggles. See five different writers step up onto the stage and read some of their work. After that, there will be 7 open slots that anyone can fill. So if you feel the need to show off your talents, you can do it right then and there.
