When it comes time to figure out something to do while spending a day with your significant other (or hopeful significant other), consider looking around and finding out if any of Austin’s festivals happen to be taking place. There are so many things going on throughout the year and many of them can be great excuses to spend time with someone special getting out and having fun. SXSW is probably the best-known, a massive music festival that takes place over the course of ten days in mid-March. Come August 24th, foodie couples can challenge their taste buds at the Hot Sauce Festival. Or attend the mid-April Art City Austin and witness a ton of art and one of the city’s biggest “block parties”. And there’s plenty more to see throughout the year. All you need to do is look around and pick the best time for that perfect and fun date.
