With so many wonderful things to see in New Orleans, it can be hard to decide on just one or two for your typical date. If your partner for the night is of a more intellectual bent, consider looking into some of the historic and culture sites around the city, learning as you have fun and get to know each other. One of the top places to visit is the famous Jackson Square. With many historic and cultural sites located in a small area, there is plenty to see without the need to range far and wide across the city. Or take a trip to the northern shore of the city to explore Port Pontchartrain Lighthouse. Or if you want to take a trip down the Mississippi in the old-school way, jump aboard one of their historic steamboat rides.
