Firefly stars crowd-fund a new sitcom

Fully funded within hours

Firefly stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk have teamed up once again, this time to create a crowd-funded sitcom about two stars of a science fiction show, and their experience traveling the country visiting conventions. The show, called Con Men, was posted to Kickstarter this morning, along with a clever promo video, and was fully funded within just a few hours.

The official site calls it a "lighthearted take on the personalities, luminaries, and characters in the scifi community," and needed $425,000 for the first three episodes. And best of all, if the show takes off, it can't be canceled!
