A Unique Way to Teach - No More Homework!

Well, here’s something interesting that I really wish would have been happening back when I was in school - a rule banning homework. As strange as it sounds, one NYC elementary school has done just that. The alternative to homework? Go outside and play. Or spend time with your family. Or read a book!

Naturally, this has some parents a little bit worried (and more than a little bit upset), but the principal that has made this decision insists that it’s a sound one. Apparently, studies have been made that show homework has negative effects on kids. This explanation isn’t pleasing to parents, however, many of whom are threatening to pull their kids out of the school in question. Personally, I’d be interested to see the kids’ grades after a month of no homework. If their kids are doing even better than before, will the parents still complain?
