Am sure Bedard, and everybody else, knows that he isn't going to be able to command the same contract as a CC Sabathia can.  Durability is a factor.
But many M's fans seem to believe that the "risk premium" discounts Bedard from a $12M value to an $8M value. 
Argument here is that the "risk premium" discounts Bedard from $23M to $15-17M.
