With his latest injury forcing Bedard to the DL, his trade value just went splat.  There's never been a better moment to saddle up to the negotiation table and generously offer Bedard a long term contract that is worth way less than he'd get in free agency.  Offer him 4/52 and he'll jump on it...I guarantee it.
