Thanks Doc... I didn't mean to get so argumental in the other thread, I just think theres an upside scenario here that isn't being considered. Sure he could phase out as a starter as well, but I like him better than most.
French probably isn't going to have command as sharp as Sonnanstine (few do), but he has slightly better stuff considering the left-handedness and slider. His command is still above-average though if you go by the stats (good strike%, low HR rate). Sonnansine solved his problem against LHBs with a cutter, we'll see what French can come up with vs RHBs.
