If I've got this right, at minimum they would need to hold him out the first two months of 2010, to avoid his being a Super Two or whatever, right? 16% of players each year, with the most time that year, are counted as having a full year?
Then, if Ackley played only part of 2010, he'd go to arb in 2015 and 2016 and be a FA in 2017?
Roster rules always bored me.
