My goodness, that was surprising. I was down by the Yankees bullpen watching Rivera warm up, and there was a minor Yankees vs. Red Sox thing going on among the onlookers, then to see Rivera blow by Hannahan and Carp, Mariner fans leaving, Yankee fans in their Jeter, A-Rod etc. jerseys standing, getting ready to celebrate another Rivera save. . . and then the deed is done.
