...I am starting to think that the only reason Sweeney couldn't hit the last few years was back pain.  A healthy and rested Sweeney is identical to the one that nearly won batting titles and drove in 120 runs for the lowly Royals.
Kind of cool to see him come back from the edge like that.
I agree on Hannahan after observingt him this year...I think the club is trying to get all of its' players mixed and matched into some playing time to keep everyone happy...which is hard to do when your bench is as deep as Seattle's now with lots of interesting guys on it (Hall, Tui, Sweeney, Carp, Saunders, Langerhans, Hannahan, Jo. Wilson etc).  But wasting ABs on Hannahan now when we need them to look at the prospects is the one thing Z&W have done that doesn't show laser focus on 2010.
