Gomes has POWER and good plat descipline in minors. It looked earlier in 2k9 he was about to have a breakout year. Still the year end stats aren't bad. He also hit 3 hrs in game twice before. With gomes you are talking about a player who can just intimadate pitchers with his power :-)
