How to fake working

A guide to phoning it in during the slack time

In office culture, basically nothing happens during the time between Christmas and New Year’s. A lot of people take the week off, and those who are left have little motivation to work. And yet, you still have to act like you’re working, just to keep up appearances. Slate has an excellent guide to doing just that.

My personal tip is to schedule a lot of doctor and dentist appointments during this week, so that you can max out your health care for the year. I mean, don’t ACTUALLY do that, just tell everyone you are. For each fake appointment you can clock out for at least three hours. You're welcome!
