When the questions are about Vargas or Fister, he goes into some depth in the post game interviews, in regards to French or Olsen, I haven't seen him expand beyond.  With Olsen, as far as results go, this seems reasonable.  But with French, news has gotten out about improved velocity, improved/more work on his change (not from Wakamatsu unless I'm mistaken), and the results have been mostly positive, but it really seems like he was never even considered for the rotation.  If anybody is interested, I went through the pitches today and noted the ones that were below 80 that registered as either a change or a cutter (pitchFX is being wonky and had cutters and change both around the same velo as his fastball and 8-10 miles below, so I assume anything that didn't register slider under 80 was a change).  There were 26 pitches at that speed, 19 for strikes, 6 swinging and 3 looking.  If he can make the change a plus pitch to go along with his slider, and if he can keep the groundballs up, Zach Duke might be something to hope for as a comparison.
