I was at the game and the ump seemed to have quite an odd strike zone throughout. That might explain why Harang was putting up a lot of zeros also. Even Ichiro complained on a ball that seemed quite a bit outside. RRS was pretty consistantly throwing 91-92 on the stadium gun, for what that is worth.
I think sometimes the pitchers get credit for "tossing a gem" when they should be sending the home plate ump a nice big tip for all their help.
It was a strange game all around. I thought for sure that the reds were going to hit at least 3 home runs today. It felt like April in the stadium - i have to believe that a couple of those fly balls caught (one by Ichiro way back in right center) would have gone out if it was 10 degrees warmer.
