Was meaning to refer to Lueke, Cortes and Wilhelmsen as guys with decidedly not "family-friendly" resumes (felon, rowdy drunk, addict), and if they do end up being the top guns in the pen it would be something of a PR challenge to "package" them in the Mariner environment.
Some clubs might like the idea of down-and-dirty dudes in the 'pen, but that would be a harder fit with the Ms, image-wise.
So they'd have to sell them as the guys who picked themselves up off the police blotter and came out all fresh-scrubbed and ready for autograph day.
If so, does the the PR get in the way of on-field effectiveness (when maybe you want the guy who scowls at the batter like he's ready to administer a beat-down)?
