when you have a logjam or you can upgrade a position. Colby Rasmus might be on the market come the offseason and I would love to see Z make a strong push to obtain him. Saunders would become expendable, Vargas has some trade value and if Lueke is deemed not Seattle material by Armstrong some combination of these 3 players could make the Cards pull the trigger. Other players the Cardinals would be interested is Franklin, Seager and Truinfel. Would hate to see Franklin traded and I don't the M's would include him but everybody else should be available.
Since I'm rosterbating I would also love to see the M's go after Ted Lilly this offseason. Safeco Field is perfect for him and he'll cost half of what Cliff Lee is going to get.
