He threw several two-strike pitches that wer 96 ad on inch or two outside the black that made me turn to my daughters and say, "That pitch was unhittable!" As a hitter you would either swing hard and miss or hope you got the call.
He didn't waste pitches, even up 0-2. He just threw to an even finer black edge.
I didn't see the 8th inning, but did see the first seven. WAY impressive.
I don't think it is premature to say the M's have the best 1-2 punch in the league....or in the game.
