But I don't think Rendon-at-2b has any connection to Ackley.  The Ackley-to-LF "buzz," I think, is solely a function of needing his bat and Kennedy's bat in the same lineup, and Ackley being the more athletic option to play LF.  And it could just be idle internet noodling, as you say.
I don't see them burning any 2012-15 resources in order to improve 2011, and that includes Ackley's development time at 2b.  But I could be wrong.
