Hearing Jack Zduriencik say that he is open to that kind of mega-deal is absolute music to my ears.  Sing it Jack, Sing it.  With what we've seen the past few years out of this team, I say unleash the monster baby! [Envision Godzilla Stomping up and down on Tokyo.]
I completely agree with Gordon (G_Money) on his assessment of the FA Market.  I did a series back in July back over at Mariner Central in which I took at the projected FA Market this winter (I came to the same conclusion).  Outside of Fielder, the overall market is fairly weak.  Blast the lesser lights though G -- let's be thinking and hoping more Friday Night Lights here ...
Hey, just for giggles, let me propose the beginnings of a framework for such a mega-deal.  In taking a look at that list, one name jumped off the page at me -- Curtis Granderson.  Now, we know that Jack pursued him like a rabid dog chasing down the mailman before he was UPS'd off to the Yankees.  We also know that the biggest thing that the Yankees were lacking this last year ... was starting pitching.  They were absolutely weeping for it.  Might there be an opportunity to deal with the devil here and do a bit of a de-pantsing of the red suit here?  How about something that starts like this?
The Mariners ship Michael Pineda (plus another high end SP prospect [say perhaps an Erasmo Ramirez, James Paxton, or someone like that] )to the Yankees for Curtis Granderson and Jesus Montero. Now that has look of something that could actually reinvigorate the Mariner Offense.  Does such a deal make me pucker a bit?  Of course it does ... but then again, any actual reasonable deal will do that to you.  Should be fun to see if Jack actually does unleash the beast.
