Actually, moving Ackley to the outfield is the rare moment where going to the easy side of the defensive spectrum makes the whole line-up better. Ackley to CF/LF/RF, Seager to 2B, Liddi to 3B, Montero catching, your DH is split between Wells and Carp, Carp also steals PT at 1B and in the outfield (the plethera of extra OF options allows Ichiro to take more days off) and Figgins is the back-up to Liddi and to Kawasaki/Ryan at short.
The offense would get better in 4 places and the defense would get better in 3 places.
