The public gnashing of teeth on the new LL over Wells and the "every single thing Zdurencik does is terrible and cause for firing" crowd on his own blog have gotten under Geoff's skin.
Wells is the very definition of a "replacement level player" - guys that are basically free and readily available. Just like Bay and Endy. The upgrade or downgrade for swapping one of them out for Wells is pretty marginal.
