I had wondered about the potential hopeful avoidance of getting Farquhar out there again. I would love to know what managers had as their real options. Mariano Rivera always has been a stud but what a great deal to pitch for the Yanks when they were normally ahead going into the last inning. On losing teams the official closer role is not going to be a nice neat package as with an overloaded team like those Yankee teams. Managers then must deal with reality and think outside of the desired norm.
M's have had a lot of upsetting issues this year from health of players to disappointment in performances. The pen a huge part of each of those. It is a shame Pryor could not have had this year to grow. And I would love to see your thoughts on Capps demise. Baseball is not simple but with the M's this year it seemed like it was a virus going around.
