Monday Medley: Adorable relationship videos
I just love to see awesome proposals and other sweet relationship videos online. Over the weekend I received a link to the video “Crush” on vimeo and I had to recommend it. There’s some adult material (references to drug use) but for the most part, it’s innocent and adorable and I highly recommend it.
On a similar note, I saw Moonrise Kingdom over the weekend (I saw a few movies—which means I’m either depressed or sick, and in this case, it was a little of the former and a lot of the latter) and holy cow, how adorable. It’s weird and slow and funny and romantic, about two pre-teens who run away to be together and I loved it. I also loved Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and liked Parental Guidance.
There’s also this cool video about a woman who leaved guerilla art love notes all over her city and, she says, eventually the world. This is so inspiring, and if you notice the vertical gardens at the beginning of the video, you can see one of the projects I’m doing this spring. Now I want to paint similar messages on my projects—and maybe spread them around, too!
Every year I look forward to the fall and every year I’m surprised when I’m sick and sad because of my allergies, asthma and weather changes. I don’t know why it’s always such a big surprise! Who else struggles with this Mercury Retrogade month? I like to have plenty of hot herbal lemon tea and honey, my neti pot, lots of garlic (usually on toast or in my lunch), warm saltwater and throat lozenges on hand for times like these. When it gets as severe as mine does after two weeks (which sometimes builds into bronchitis), I also like Mucinex and Dayquil/Nyquil. What do you stock up on for sick days?
