T-Birds Play at Spokane
Check in tonight to watch the game

As 2015 comes to a close, the Seattle Thunderbirds have much to celebrate—and much to work towards. The amateur team took first place at holiday break after a touch and go series of losses, recovering after defeating the Tri City Americans and banking on their incredible, and multiple series of wins earlier in the season. They took a quick break for the holiday but the athletes are back in the game, with matches tonight, Tuesday night and Thursday night. Ring in the New Year with your T-Bird support!

Tonight’s match is one that is not to miss. The Birds will be playing at Spokane, and the puck will drop at 5:05. If you recall, the last time the T-Birds took on Spokane, the Chiefs were in running for first place themselves. That was the night that Ethan Bear really shined and the Birds won a solid 5-1 victory. That said, the match before that with the Chiefs was a brutal one for the Birds, with Seattle taking a beating of 7-1. With that background information, it is clear to see that tonight could really be anyone’s game and that Seattle will really have to bring their all to keep that first place standing.

Can’t travel to Spokane? Be sure to listen to tonight’s game at WHL Live so you don’t miss a moment. You can also follow the T-Birds on social media to keep up with the highlights or check back here tomorrow for the results of the game. The last game of the year will be at Portland, so if you’re a local and not planning on traveling until the New Year, you won’t be able to catch the action in person again until 2016. But tickets are still on sale for the first game of the year at the ShoWare Center, which is versus the Tri City Americans on Saturday, January 2 at 7:05 PM. The Birds defeated the Americans during their last match, but lost the one prior to that, so it will be another game to not miss.

The T-Birds will be back on the road to Portland again after that, playing against the Chiefs on Friday, January 8 at 7:35 PM. Then they’ll be taking on the Silvertips the next day on their home turf. But the following Tuesday they will be back in Seattle, playing against Prince George at 7:00 PM just in time for another 2fer Tuesday special.
