Taijuan vs Alcantara, Pregame (and chat box)

ORIOLES, BLUE JAYS

A fine time these guys pick.  Baltimore has put their game away, 8-1 in the bottom of the 8th.  Toronto is batting in the 7th inning, ahead 3-1 in Fenway.  If either team wins, then the M's would need to "win out" and would need one team or the other to drop two.

Matt and others had an inkling towards the 89 figure in the win column.  Alas, the M's max is 88.  Pick your favorite botched game from May and point a finger at it with Dr. D's blessing.  Still, going in to the evening, the microprocessors had had a 13% chance for the M's to play a play-play-in-out-who-knows-who-plays game, featuring James Paxton.

KEYS FOR TAIJUAN

Here is our Sept. 14th take on what Walker did right.  Per Stottlemyre, he had "stayed back over the rubber."  Per Aiki-Doc, he organized his "ki" around his right hip, which put ALL checkpoints into a beauteous organization - especially his left shoulder blade.  Others enjoyed the natural lowering of his CG and weight glide.

Even Aiki-Doc couldn't have dreamed that the finish on all four (4) of his pitches would lock-tite in so smoothly, but they did.  We'll be enjoying the energy gather again on Friday.  Even assuming the Jays win two of three, it would be all right with us if Taijuan Walker were pointed towards 17-8, 3.15 next season.
